| Construction work on two tunnels on the Albula line has closed the line between Thusis and Preda for two weeks, with buses replacing the trains. Freight trains are being diverted via the Vereina line during this time, as is the Bernina Express. Ge 4/4 II # 633 and # 620 in multiple control pull the diverted freight train 6135 (5135) from Chur freight yard via Landquart-Klosters-Vereina tunnel-Zernez-Samedan to Pontresina, leaving Zernez for Carolina. In the background is the peak of 3410 meter high Piz Linard. |
