ATI Metals RX-500 01 is a 2-axle switcher heading from the company's Flat Rolled facility, where it will pick up a single gondola and bring it back to their Natrona Plant. Built by Republic Locomotive, the two-axle RX-500 is the only all-new switch engine being built in America today. With AC power and a design that requires no special tools for maintenance, these locomotives are ideal for many industries requiring a replacement for their old locomotives that are wearing out.
