The former SBB Type III "Swiss-Express" coaches, built between 1972 and 1975, have been used by the BLS since 2004. The last cars were taken out of service in December 2021 and most have since been demolished. 4 wagons have been stored at Frutigen for possible preservation. These coaches have now been transferred with train 32442 from Frutigen to Olten, with the Ae 6/6 # 11425 "Canton de Genève" here passing through Burgdorf. SBB Historic has taken over the cars of type AD, A, B and cab car Bt for possible later restoration as a short ‘Swiss Express’ train.
