              Remarks & Notes
The Train du Désert stopped in the middle of the Mauritanian Sahara desert near kilometer 517, between Choum and Tuadschil, so that some of the guests of the SERVRAIL group could change in the driver's cab of the locomotive. The GPL-15T BB # 207 of the SNIM, built in 2004, pulls the saloon car and the couchette car of the desert train, with an empty ore car as a brake van at the end of the train. This afternoon's journey covered the 190 kilometers from Choum to Zouérate, with a stop at the locomotive cemetery of F'der?k.
