Every morning on the Houston Ship Channel the PTRA Railroad runs at coke train on a short 8 mile trip from the Lyondell Basell Refinery in Pasadena to the Kinder Morgan Deep Water Terminal off Beltway 8 where the refined coke is offloaded from the train onto ships to be sent overseas. I was able to catch this train with ex Milwaukee Road SD40-2s KMTX 3001 and 3000 for power as they were leaving the Refinery in Pasadena at 0604.
