Weeds grow around a rotting NP coach and SD7 6008 in the "backyard" of the Minnesota Transportation Museum's Jackson Street Roundhouse.
Originally, the museum mechanical volunteers were to evaluate the SD7 to determine its condition at that time, but this project was put on hold.
Plans for the 6008 have varied depending on who you talk to. Some what it to run, and some feel it's far too original to risk making it run. For now, it's been patched up as 6008, with touch-ups to its appearance happening here and there. That NP coach? It was beyond saving and was later scrapped.
