Remarks & Notes

The Yadkin Valley RR was created in 1989 as a Norfolk Southern Thoroughbred Short Line running from Rural Hall NC to North Wilkesboro and Mt Airy NC. Early power for the RR was supplied by Norfolk Southern. Here former Norfolk & Western GP9s are sitting in Rural Hall waiting for their next run.
