York Railway's interchange job drops off cars at NS' Windsor Street Yard. The abandoned interlocking tower to the right was constructed in 1942 and guarded the junction of the York, Hanover and Frederick Railroad, the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad and the Pennsylvania Railroad. Over 8 decades later, three distinct railroads still converge at this point: York Railway, Norfolk Southern, and the East Penn Railroad.
