Great Train Leader. Grand Trunk Western GP38-2 GTW 4920 (née-MP 913, 10/1972) and Canadian National GP-40R CN 3133 (née-IC 3009, GP40, 2/1966) lead were leading a local train through Gary, Indiana on January 27, 2021 as they approached Burlington Harbor Road during a cold spell in the region that preserved the snow of recent days. This region is full of vintage EMD standard and end cabs working on all kinds of trains, including for the Class Is, shortlines, and industries that populate the area.
