Cover Coming. On February 21, 2025, the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission announced that the bid process is open for the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania’s "Roundhouse Project". This 16,000 square foot building will have storage for six locomotives. One engine that is planned to be stored in the building is former Pennsylvania Railroad M1b 6755 (4-8-2 “Mountain”), seen here on June 25, 2017 sitting next to Amtrak AEM-7 915 at the museum's Strasburg, Pennsylvania yard. This year the museum is also celebrating its 50th Anniversary with many special activities.
