MTA Metro-North Railroad 222 (New Haven Heritage) Testing. MTA Metro-North Railroad MNCW 222 was tested on the Hudson Line on the overnight of February 24-25, 2025. This unit commemorates an early New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad locomotive paint scheme with its distinctive script logo. This is the sixth Metro-North Railroad wrap, and it joins the four Connecticut DOT New Haven (McGinnis/Matter) tribute units. While the wrap is complete, the unit still requires mechanical work and inspection before entering revenue service.
