Union Pacific eastbound train E-WCLLF-16 departs the railroad's West Colton Yard ... all by itself. UP AC4400CW 6603 was sent out to rescue West Colton CA to Tucson AZ train M-WCTU-16, which suffered the failure of one of its diesels in Loma Linda, a mere 7 miles into its journey, apparently leaving the train short a few thousand horsepower to get over Beaumont Hill (as.well as all the other grades it would encounter on its way to Tucson). Fortunately, West Colton's engine facility has plenty of power on hand to spare. (Colton, California – February 16, 2025)
