One-month-old Santa Fe Railway SD40-2 5143 leads a westbound freight through Blue Cut as it parallels Cajon Creek. Teamed with 5143 are F45 5904, C30-7 8025 and SD45 5599. (Cajon Pass, California – October 18, 1980)
