On February 24th, 2024, Amtrak P42DC #145, painted in Phase III heritage, leads southbound Vermonter Train 57 through the Main Street Tunnel in downtown Greenfield, Massachusetts, along the MassDOT Connecticut River Line.
The successor to the Montrealer, the Vermonter runs between St. Albans, Vt., and Washington, DC. Much of the northern part of the route runs along the Connecticut and White Rivers.
