| Rejosari sugar mill (Java, Indonesia) operated an interesting fleet of steam locos including no.10 "Salak" on the 700 mm gauge system. This 0-8-0T featured a jackshaft which was driven by the cylinders which in turn provided power to the driving wheels via a gear train between the 2nd and 3rd axles. Built by Orenstein & Koppel in 1916 in Germany it was a powerful loco especially at low speeds around the mill. |
