      Remarks & Notes
The 296-metre-long Sitter Viaduct in Appenzell was built between 1902 and 1904 for the meter-gauge Appenzeller Strassenbahn (ASt), mainly with tamped concrete arches, but also a 49-metre-long truss bridge over the river. The viaduct, which today belongs to the Appenzeller Bahnen (AB) on the Appenzell-Gais line, has been extensively renovated over the last year. This weekend, the renovated, 90 ton truss bridge was lifted back into place; it had been replaced by a temporary bridge. Two large cranes from the Emil Egger company were used for this purpose and are now being dismantled.
