Redbirds Rising.
On April 4, 2025, the NY Transit Museum operated a nostalgia ride on the IRT Flushing Line for the Mets Hope Opener at Citi Field, using a train of eight "Redbird" cars from the 1960s! Here we see R36WF no. 9586 leading the train up the BMT tracks into Queensboro Plaza, where they will cross over to the Flushing Line.
