| A volunteer repairing a footplate in front of the dynamometer car built by Midland Railway & Carriage in 1925–, designed to carry out power studies on steam locomotives, unique of its kind in the country and one of only two existing and preserved in the world.The sign on the door warns to the switcher man that the car has sensitive measuring devices. |
