How high is the water, Momma? Everybody fought high water in 1993. Crazy detours and disruptions were the name of the game in late spring. Here the Cedar River is up to the bridge as a westbound heads into the setting sun. The CNW would detour through downtown Cedar Rapids as the water would get too high in this area. I don't have exact notes here if the water is going up or down this evening. This bridge is now double-tracked. Scanned negative from May 1993.
