Remarks & Notes

With the old Southern wye in Bristol long out of service 611 was obliged to turn in Glade and be towed backwards to Bristol to head the passenger excursion back eastbound. Here a lowly freight locomotive gets a bit of celebrity on the west leg of the wye. This used to be part of the very busy branch to Saltville.
