| Chartered Conference Car.
Amtrak First Class Conference Car 9800 brings up the rear of a charter train as it cruises away from Harrison Station. As the lettering across the rear suggests, the car is a converted Metroliner (originally Penn Central 863) one of two Metroliner snack bar coaches known to still exist - the other being 860 at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. The special charter train was operated to bring the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team up to New York to face off against the Rangers - a game the visitors would win 8 - 5. |
