| Pieks?m?ki Temu is know for its massive depot that forms a strong backbone in the maintenance of VR's. However, it is also known for its massive backyard that stores all the recently withdrawn locomotives of VR both old and modern. The current Finnish government prohibits scrapping and encourages to sell these locomotives towards new rail operators in Finland, but these machines here are just worthy of sources of spare parts. The yard of Temu contains almost half of the class Dv12s, almost all class Dr16s, some Dr14s and Sr1 and ironically even some Sr2s. |
