| I only saw one Alco on my trip to India. It ran light, heading north through Suravali. I'm not sure what it was doing, but it did stop about another mile up the line, where I saw it's headlight for quite a long time. The leading zero in the road number indicates this is yard power. This particular locomotive is basically the workhorse of the Konkan Railway, mostly handling shunting duties at Verna Yard or pulling ballast and maintenance trains along the line. |
