On July 1, 2022, the Extrazug.ch association in Langnau was able to take over the locomotive Re 420 # 501, formerly Re 4/4 II # 11110 of SBB, from BLS. The locomotive was repainted in green, re-equipped with round lower front lights, the original lettering (not chromed yet) was applied and a sissors pantograph mounted. Windshield wipers will be changed. The locomotive is currently not yet operational but needs a P5 overhaul for about 20000 swiss francs. The Re 4/4 II # 11110 was delivered to the SBB by SLM and MFO on 14.4.1967 and was transferred to the BLS in December 2004, where it was given the number Re 420 # 501 and repainted in silver, mint green and blue. The locomotive was presented in front of the depot in Langnau on the occasion of the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Emmental Railway.
