Santa Fe Steam on a Santa Fe Turntable

After returning to Los Angeles from 2013's annual San Bernardino Railroad Days display, Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751 has returned to its home in Amtrak's Redondo Junction facility. At 6:20 pm (18:20) it has completed a spin on the turntable (look carefully for the old, worn ATSF logo on it) and is about to move forward onto its storage track for the fire to be dropped and everything can cool down again. This has been another successful outing for this 1927-built locomotive. (Los Angeles, California – April 28, 2013) Photographed on railroad property with permission and full PPE.
