Remarks & Notes

The massive DeMag crane lifts the last remaining refurbished span back into place on the re-built bridge at the south entrance to the Nolichucky gorge on the former Clinchfield mainline. This bridge was washed out during Hurricane Helene on September 30, 2024. The middle four spans were pulled from the river and refurbished post flood.
