On the evening of April 11th, 2025, Metro-North Railroad's Stamford Switcher, with CTDOT/CTrail Brookville BL20GHM #127, rescued disabled Danbury Train 1838 at catenary post 430A just west of Noroton Heights station on the New Haven Line in Darien, Connecticut. Train 1838, featuring an all-CTDOT Mini-Bomb consist, suffered a ground fault issue on its locomotive, CTDOT/CTrail EMD GP40-3H #6699. The disabled train was towed back to Stamford Yard.
