| Some of the excavated material from the construction of the second tunnel tube for the motorway tunnel between G?schenen and Airolo is transported by freight train to Flüelen and deposited in Lake Urnersee (part of Lake Lucerne) to create shallow water zones. Bombardier TRAXX F140 MS 186 # 497 of Railpool, rented to TR TransRail, pulls the loaded train 67654 with 8 double VTG Sggrrs cars with 32 "Marti" containers from Airolo to Flüelen, between G?schenen and Wassen. Train load was 1420 ton. |
