Remarks & Notes

CNW 6916 brings a loaded ore train thru Maple Ridge, MI in June of 1988. The train will soon finish its journey at the ore dock in Escanaba, MI. Alcos were the power on these trains only a few years earlier. This line still sees some ore traffic, but it's not what it used to be with the closing of both Empire Mine and the docks in Escanaba.
