Late in the afternoon, RCPE's Mankato to Aurora train makes its way through the rolling hills of the Buffalo Ridge in Lake Benton. Though it may look like a typical summer day in this photo, the weather was soon to take a turn, as a storm was brewing to the north. Said storm produced a couple tornadoes which we saw 30 some miles away. Quite the eventful day it was.
