| Cogwheel steamlocomotive H 2/3 # 2 of the Monte Generoso railway, built in 1890 by SLM, is slowly (maximum 9 km/h) running down the mountain, with car B # 2 of 1890 too. The Riggenbach counterpressure brake keeps the train running at a constant speed without wear. It is said to be the oldest rack-and-pinion steam locomotive in Switzerland in regular service (four times a year). |
