The Zurich Oberland Steam Railway Association (DVZO) has taken over the last two diesel locomotives still in service, Em 3/3 # 18815 “Sara” and # 18824 “Emma,” both built in 1963, from SBB. Both locomotives are currently still operational, but in the long term, # 18815 will serve as a source of spare parts. # 18824 will replace the Tem III # 354, which is due for overhaul, for shunting maneuvers in Bauma and will also pull scheduled trains between Bauma and Hinwil when there is a risk of forest fires and steam locomotives are banned from operating. Em 3/3 # 18824 is on a test run from B?retswil to Bauma with a nice passenger rake between B?retswil and Neuthal.
