| Southern Pacific, SP 8657 (3) unit helper block running light E/B through the Amtrak house track at Garnet, CA on December 14, 2001. The UP main at Garnet was out of service temporarily as there was a signal malfunction. Manned helpers were still being used regularly on Beaumont Pass but not in the numbers previously. |
