24-tonne shunting vehicle Ta # 978 belonging to the Mikado 1244 association at the Brugg Railway Park. The vehicle is powered by rechargeable batteries with 2 electromotors and was delivered in 1913 by AEG in Berlin as F 2/2 # 51 for the construction of the Simplon Tunnel II between Brig and Iselle. Around 1920, Ta # 978 was transferred to the SBB as Da 2/2 # 51 with green paintwork and was then used for 96 years in the SBB's industrial workshop (formerly the main workshop) in Bellinzona. From 1930, it was designated Ta # 51, and from 1963, Ta # 978. In 1977, it underwent a major overhaul and was repainted brick red. In 2016, the operational vehicle was taken over by the Mikado 1244 Association in Brugg AG and is used to move heavy vehicles in the Brugg AG railway park.
