At the time of this photo in 2014, the understanding was that the Arrow III EMUs would soon be replaced. Fast forward to the publishing date of this photograph in 2025, the Arrow IIIs are still in use. While their retirement has been continually delayed, NJ Transit is saying that their replacements, the MultiLevel III EMUs, will begin testing on the property in 2025. While NJ Transit expects the replacements to be operating in revenue service in 2025, more delays are possible.
