On the evening of June 6th, 2025, Metro-North Railroad Electric Traction employees aboard Plasser Catenary Maintenance Vehicle MNCW CV1004 work to repair damaged catenary between US Route 1 and Mill Hill Road on the New Haven Line in Southport, Connecticut. The damage, which occurred the previous evening between Southport and Fairfield stations after a series of events, disrupted service New Haven Line service in the area. Thanks to the Electric Traction team’s efforts, service was restored on most tracks by the following morning.
