On the afternoon of July 1st, 2025, the Metro North/ Department of Transportation Geometry Train, led by CTDOT/CTrail Brookville BL20GHM 125, crosses over the Merritt Parkway on the New Canaan Branch in the Talmadge Hill neighborhood of New Canaan, Connecticut. The train traversed all of Metro-North's mainline track while the Federal Railroad Administration’s (FRA) former Metroliner, DOTX 216 inspection car, collected geometry data for the FRA and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
