| Subway Cars in Greenville Yard - The R46 is a New York City Subway car model that was built by the Pullman Standard Company between the years of 1975 - 1978. They were refurbished in 1990 - 1992 and were taken out of service in 2025 and slated for scrap. These R46s were first taken to the 65th Street Yard in Brooklyn and then ferried on a railcar float across the Upper New York Harbor to this location at Greenville Yard in NJ. NYNJ 5102 is also in view and is one of the main locomotives assigned to the New Jersey side of the NYNJ rail operations. Photo location accessed by kayak. |
