Night At Steamtown. On the night of Saturday, August 30, 2025, the second of 2 consecutive nights with photo events lit by supplemental lighting was held for ticketed patrons as part of the Railfest Weekend. This event focused on heritage diesel power, including some making their first scheduled appearance for a night shoot since being repainted. The event benefited the Iron Horse Society, a volunteer group that works with Steamtown. In this scene, Genessee Valley Transportation (GVT)/Delaware-Lackawana (DL) Erie Lackawanna (EL) 2452 (C425, Alco, 10/1964) and Delaware & Hudson (DL) 4068 (RS3, Alco, 3/1952) are featured. Both were re-painted within the past year.
