| A GMAM Garratt heads a special mixed train on the steeply graded Natal line that started as a through route from Durban to Capetown, but was never completed due to the rough country. The countryside is dotted with the typical round huts of the Zulus. Over 120 GMAM's served on South African Railways, with the last built in 1958. |
