| Three Austrian Wiener Stadtbahn Class S1 trams make their home at the ATSF National City depot. Now the property of the San Diego Electric Railway Assoc, they had sat in the MTS Yard for years. The last time the cars were run was in 1981 in Vienna, Austria. They were imported in 1993 and originally intended to operate downtown. Their German language notices and advertisements are still in place, as are the under-seat heaters used to thaw passengers' snow-covered shoes.
