Union Pacific Railroad southbound freight M BNAS (Bloomington - Alton Southern) runs over the ex-GM&O at Ridgely Tower in Springfield, Illinois. The tower operator is outside to give the train a rollby inspection. This is the last manned interlocking tower in Central Illinois. Due to the Christmas holiday, this was the first southbound run of the train in a week, with an unusually long train. December 29, 2007. STEVE SMEDLEY
