| This is the site of the Pacific Electric's Valley Junction - where the Glendora Line split from the San Bernardino Line. The State of California eventually built the Ramona Freeway along the San Bernardino line, while the Glendora Line was abandoned and ripped up. Today Metrolink plies the remaining sections of the San Bernardino Line. The dirt to the right is the Glendora Line ROW. The narrow road closer to the tracks is the El Monte Busway. The Freeway is the San Bernardino Frwy (rebuilt from the narrower Ramona Freeway). F59PH #855 was delivered by GM in the Summer of 1992. |
