| Funny thing about the Washington Boulevard section of the Blue Line... when you are on the trains they seem to slow to a crawl through here, but when you are on the street they seem to sail through here. The P865 cars (or P850 and P865), were built by Sumitomo Nippon Sharyo in 1989 and 1990. I have heard a rumor (uncomfirmed) that when the second order of new Breda cars arrive in a couple years, these older units may be retired instead of receiving a mid-life refurbish. |
