| With 1422 on the point today the 12 O'clock switch job pulls a cut of autoparts box cars down the hill from the Ford plant and into Oakville Yard. After dropping the boxes on track 39 they will park their power in front of the yard office while they take a well deserved dinner break. This shot plainly shows how this part of the yard is built up to match the grade into Ford's. The line of racks on the service track, partially obscured in the background behind the other Ford lead, is at grade level with the CN Oakville Sub's mains. |
