| This class of loco was built in the 1950s to pull passenger trains on the 1500v DC Manchester-Sheffield route. It was sold to the Netherlands Railways when it retired from BR in 1968. After years of successful running there, it returned to Britain and is now on display at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. |
