As rain threatens, Pere Marquette 1225 passes the Burt Opera House in Burt. The town is named after Wellington R. Burt, the promoter behind the construction of the Cincinnati, Saginaw & Mackinaw RR, now Huron & Eastern's Durand to Saginaw sub.
