Remarks & Notes

The daily steel train from Ashland, Kentucky (AK Steel) to Middletown, Ohio (AK Steel) passes under a CPL cantilever in the Cincinnati suburb of Glendale, Ohio. The lead unit, CIT Equipment #3104 was delivered to the Canadian Pacific by GMD in December of 1966 as their #5531 (the last unit in an order of 32). Sold to East Coast Motive Power in August of 2000, it was then sold to and rebuilt by Alstom for CIT as CEFX #3104 (an SD40-2M).
