| Twenty Fifth Anniversary: D&RGW's battle with nature came to a close on July 4, 1983 when the new Thistle line relocation opened for business. On that day, the first eastbound from Salt Lake City made the 570 mile trek through the 3009 foot Thistle Tunnel eastward to Denver. |
