Remarks & Notes

The iconic locomotive for the Santa Fe! F7A 300C is seen resting between Amtrak runs at the enginehouse in Barstow, California. These Fs were retained by Santa Fe following the formation of Amtrak, and leased to the agency until their own new power (SDP40Fs) were delivered. ATSF 300C began life as ATSF 46C, and ended up being rebuilt into CF7 2543.
